This study examines the behaviors recognized by supervisors and subordinates, on the basis of which they build mutual trust, in order to classify the components of trust-related behavior, and to construct trust scales. An analysis of two interview surveys revealed minute differences between the components that supervisors and subordinates recognized. The dimensions of the components were divided into two categories: expertise and trustworthiness. We also tested the validity and reliability of the trust scales constructed in this research. The results confirmed that the scales had internal consistency and validity.
