A study on the psychological process to accelerate information disclosure on products

This study was conducted to investigate the psychological processes of “organizational activities/program on products-information disclosure”. One hundred and eleven workers from some different companies in the manufacturing and in the service sector filled out a questionnaire. The results of the analysis revealed that safety activities/program in the organization was positively related to the cognition of benefit to information disclosure, and then workers willingly gave consumers information about their products even in emergency situations. Also members’ cognition of stricter laws and regulations for safety was negatively related to appropriate response to consumer complaints information. Based on these findings, propositions and recommendation were discussed.
